Before you buy
Three slots. The bottle flies in, the skin answer follows, and the shelf says whether this job is open. The price link waits until the check has something to say.
The bottle lands here.
Answer the skin and shelf questions before any retailer link.
Answer 3 to unlock
Product
Skin today
The shelf
Fill the product, the skin, and the shelf. Leave-outs are optional, and they can turn a yes into a no.

Skin today
The shelf
Leave out
Optional. These do not fill a slot. If the formula reads as if it includes one, the check becomes a skip and the retailer link stays shut.
A product can be well made and still be the wrong next bottle.
Tell the page which bottle you mean, how your skin behaves today, and whether this slot is empty. The note above the link is the point. The link is the last step, and a skip does not get one.
How the check works
Three answers, then a verdict
Pick the product you are actually considering. The photograph stays large. A catalog cutout stays a cutout until a studio still exists. This page does not paint a background behind it.
Say how your skin behaves today: dry, normal, combination, oily, sensitive, or acne-prone. Normal and acne-prone stay themselves. They are not folded into another skin type, and they do not borrow another skin's steps.
Then say what the shelf is doing. An empty slot is a different decision from replacing a finished bottle, and both are different from adding a second product that does the same job.
Leave-outs are optional. Fragrance, a heavy cream, a leave-on acid, or a retinoid can turn a yes into a no when the formula reads that way. A fragrance-free cream is not treated as fragranced just because that phrase appears. The stored fit line for that skin type is the evidence. This page does not invent a new rating, and it does not tell you the product will change your skin.
If the answers say it can earn the slot, the Amazon price link appears on the foam plate, under the short commission line. If the answers say pause, the button says to save it for later. You can still open the retailer page after a second yes. If the answers say skip, there is no retailer button. Amazon links stay tagged product pages. Then I Met You stays on Sephora. Naturium Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% stays on Ulta. Neither gets an invented Amazon button.
The card flies into its slot, a sticker lands on the photograph, and the earned button fills in. Pause animations freezes that motion on this page. A device that asks for less motion skips the flight, the wobble, and the fill, and the pause control stays.
Questions
Common questions
What does Before You Buy check?
The product, how your skin behaves today, and whether this shelf slot is empty. Leave-outs are optional. The note comes before any retailer link, and a skip does not get one.
When does the retailer link appear?
When the three slots are filled and the formula can earn the slot, the price link appears on the foam plate. A pause stays a pause until you ask for the link. A skip never opens a retailer button.
After the check
Buy the slot, not the impulse.
When the check is done, you still decide. The page only refuses to put a retailer button in front of a fit note.
