Lumen Ritual is free to use. To cover hosting and the time spent researching products, this site uses affiliate links and displays advertising.

What an affiliate link is

When a product recommendation or a "Shop at…" button links to a retailer, that link may carry a tracking code. If you buy something after clicking it, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be without the link.

Programs we participate in

Lumen Ritual is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. We also participate in, or have applied to, the Sephora affiliate program and the Ulta Beauty affiliate program. We have applied to display advertising through Google AdSense.

How recommendations are chosen

Products are selected on formulation, ingredient evidence, texture, and price — not on commission rate. No brand pays for placement, for a "best overall" position, or for a particular review. Where we suggest a "best" pick we also suggest a budget alternative and two backups, several of which pay us nothing at all.

Recommendations are general skincare information, not medical advice. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, are pregnant, or are on prescription treatment, check with a dermatologist before changing your routine.
